Male Dress Code
RDC has a dress code in place to encourage structure in each class and to ensure the instructor is able to correct alginment and technique properly. Please click on the title of the class below to view the required attire and shoes for each class.
Please contact us if you would like a recommendation for where to purchase proper dance shoes and attire.
Pre Dance/Kinder Dance/
Kinder Tap
Attire: Plain fitted T-shirt with shorts/pants in any colour
Shoes:
Pre Dance/Kinder Dance: Black ballet shoes with elastics secured at the ankles or black slip-on jazz shoes.
Kinder Tap: Black tap shoes.
Ballet/Ballet Technique
Attire: Plain white or black fitted T-shirt with black dance shorts/pants/tights.
Shoes: Black ballet shoes with elastics secured at the ankles (Angelo Luzio 246 ballet shoes recommended).
Jazz/Tap/Lyrical/
Contemporary/Technique
Attire: Plain fitted T-shirt with shorts/pants in any colour.
Shoes:
Jazz/Technique: Jazz shoes (Bloch SO499 slip-on jazz shoes recommended).
Tap: Lace-up tap shoes (Capezio CG09 or CG55 tap shoes recommended).
Lyrical/Contemporary: Lyrical shoes (Capezio footUndeez are recommended) or jazz shoes (Bloch SO499 slip-on jazz shoes recommended).
Hip Hop
Attire: Loose fitting clothing (no jeans) or fitted dancewear.
Shoes: Clean indoor running shoes/high tops/combat boots (no outside shoes allowed in the studio).
Jazz/Tap/Lyrical/
Contemporary/Technique
Attire: Plain fitted T-shirt with shorts/pants in any colour.
Shoes:
Jazz/Technique: Jazz shoes (Bloch SO499 slip-on jazz shoes recommended).

Shoes: Bare feet (no shoes or socks allowed).
Adult Classes
Attire: Adult dancers may wear any comfortable loose fitted or fitted clothing (no jeans).
Shoes:
Adult Tap: Tap Shoes (Capezio CG09 or Capezio CG55 are recommended).
Adult Hip Hop: Clean indoor running shoes/high tops/combat boots (no outside shoes allowed in the studio).
