Female Dress Code
RDC has a dress code in place to encourage structure in each class and to ensure the instructor is able to correct alginment and technique properly. Please click on the title of the class below to view the required hair, attire and shoes for each class.
Please contact us if you would like a recommendation for where to purchase proper dance shoes and attire.
Pre Dance
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face.
Attire: Bodysuit and tights in any colour. Dancers may also wear an optional ballet skirt/tutu.
Shoes: Pink ballet slippers with elastics secured at the ankle.
Kinder Dance/Kinder Tap
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face.
Attire: Bodysuit and tights in any colour. Dancers may also wear an optional dance skirt/tutu or fitted dance shorts.
Shoes: Kinder Dance:Jazz shoes (Bloch SO499 Slip-on Jazz Shoes recommended). Kinder Tap: Tap shoes (Capzeio 3800 Tap Shoes recommended).
Ballet - Pre Primary & Primary
Hair: A proper bun (secured with bobby pins and a hair net) is required.
Attire: Black bodysuit and ballerina pink tights are required. Dancers may also wear an optional ballet circle skirt (Circle skirt is a see through short skirt that allows the teacher to see the dancers positions, see photo for example).
Shoes: Pink ballet slippers with elastics secured at the ankle (Angelo Luzio 246 Ballet Shoes recommended).
Ballet - Grade 1 and Above/
Ballet Technique
Hair: A proper bun (secured with bobby pins and a hair net) is required.
Attire: Black bodysuit and ballerina pink tights are required.
Shoes: Pink ballet slippers with elastics secured at the ankle (Angelo Luzio 246 Ballet Shoes recommended).
Ballet - Pre Primary & Primary

Jazz
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face.
Attire: Bodysuit and tights in any colour or fitted shorts/leggings and fitted tank top/half top.
Shoes: Jazz Shoes (Bloch SO499 Slip-on Jazz Shoes recommended.
Tap
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face.
Attire: Bodysuit and tights in any colour or fitted shorts/leggings and fitted tank top/half top.
Shoes: Tap Shoes (Capzeio 3800 recommended for younger students. Capezio CG09 or Capezio CG55 are recommended for older students.
Hip Hop
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face.
Attire: Loose fitting clothing (no jeans), or fitted dancewear.
Shoes: Clean indoor running shoes/high tops/combat boots (no outside shoes allowed in the studio).
Acro
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face. A low ponytail or bun is best as higher hairstyles can prohibit rolling. If the hair is long it must be doubled up or in a bun to avoid students/teachers stepping on it.
Attire: Bodysuit and tights in any colour or fitted shorts/leggings and fitted tank top/half top. (Convertible tights, e.g. Mondor 314, can be purchased for convenience if dancers have multiple classes in a row).
Shoes: Bare feet (no shoes or socks allowed).
Hip Hop
Hair: Tied up off the neck and face.
Attire: Loose fitting clothing (no jeans), or fitted dancewear.
Shoes: Clean indoor running shoes/high tops/combat boots (no outside shoes allowed in the studio).
Acro
